pesticide applicator license west virginia

Classes will be available for 6 months after date of purchase. Upon completion of all classes, email Help@PestNetwork.com for your final signed certificate.

Recertification

The laws of the state of West Virginia provide for the licensing of three (3) types of pesticide applicators. These are:

  1. COMMERCIAL APPLICATORS – apply pesticides for hire to the property of others
  2. CERTIFIED PUBLIC APPLICATORS – employees of local, state and federal government agencies
  3. PRIVATE APPLICATORS – agricultural producers who apply pesticides on their own property

In order to maintain an applicator’s license, an applicator must be recertified every three (3) years. Recertification may be accomplished in two ways:

  1. Earning a specified number of West Virginia Department of Agriculture approved Continuing Education Units (CEU’s)
  2. Retaking and passing the examinations

For more information regarding recertification through the West Virginia Department of Agriculture contact:

Continuing Education

It should be noted that:

  1. One Continuing Education Unit (CEU) equals one-half (1/2) hour of educational instruction.
  2. A CEU may be credited to more than one (1) category if it is approved in that(those) category(s).
  3. An applicator can not receive credit for the same course
